8. Your identity will be discovered. You will have leaks.

I have clients asking me to blur out identities on occasion… but if you’re thinking that’s actually going to be enough to keep you hidden, you may be in for a surprise in a couple of years when you actually become big.

This is a sub-branch extended from a larger blog set I have written laying out tips and advice for Onlyfans Creators, but also independent Escorts, Performers, Sex Workers and whoever else getting started in the Adult Entertainment Industry.

This advice comes from a Content & Brand Production & Marketing perspective. This is not about doing the job itself.

The core post can be found HERE.

You wont stay hidden for long.

That’s just the way of it, and it will only become more likely as technology advances, so if you’re planning to do this faceless, with a mask or whatever, I got news for you. Your days are numbered.

What’s more, it’s not even personal. These communities see a hidden identity as nothing but a challenge, and they are so much better at uncovering and revealing than you or your agent/manager will ever be at hiding. I may very well blur out your face, or you may wear a mask, but your body frame and height/weight ratio are still visible, that mole on your leg and scar on your arm can still be matched with each other, and AI is becoming more and more adept at doing just that.

I’ve had two clients now tell me of how they pay extra for services to take down leaked content. I have then done a very simple search and found leaked content of the same women within 10mins.

It ain’t happening. You are not staying hidden. You are not protecting your content from leaks. You’re just not.

Rather than trying to avoid leaks, adjust your content so that when they are leaked, they become your marketing tools. Brand it all. Not obnoxiously, nothing big or that gets in the way and lessens user experience, but if it’s going to leak anyway, you may as well have it point potential subs to where you want them to go.

Many viewers of leaked content aren’t actually seeking out leaks. They’re just clicking on what an algorithm presented for them. If they see something of yours and ask “Oh I like this girl, who is she?” You want your logo or handle right there to answer that question. Even if they’re not going to pay for your content, a click is still a click. A search of your name is still a search of your name. It is still an algorithm spike that helps you jump that tiny little notch more up the chain, and put you in front of those who will pay for your content.

Rather than ‘hiding your face’, perhaps you might instead become a character. Play into it and attract the audiences to that character.

Human beings are animals, and when you run away from a predator, they chase you whether they’re actually hungry or not. If you are adamantly trying to hide and evade discovery, then they will be gunning to expose you purely just through instinct. Playing a character however is not running away, and does not inspire the same response.

And that character could simply be a more expressive version of you, but an overstated you that speaks in a way the socially acceptable you would be embarrassed to, who says and does things you wouldn’t and who pursues your interests with abandon. And here’s the thing. You will gain and deliver with far more confidence on screen because of this.

When that character gets exposed, be just straight up front and open about it. “Okay guys, so I was using that character as it allows me to be more expressive, and produce the content you guys enjoy. But I guess that’s now dust. I’m not sure what to do now, so I’m going to put up a poll. Should I continue with the character, create a new one, or go unmasked? Let me know.”

Snatch the victory right back from them, and make it your own. Time and time again we see people who get caught out in exposures or who say the wrong thing or whatever public humiliation they may face, and the public perception always comes down to how they respond to it. Those who aren’t ashamed, who don’t hide, who don’t ‘apologise’ and give the crowd the blood they demand, they sail right through it. They wait two weeks and everyone forgets.

There’s no use wasting all your time and energy on losing battles. Don’t fight it, roll with it instead and make it your own.
